Atlanta
The CFO seat in Atlanta,
without the full-time hire.
We work with owners of operations-heavy businesses across metro Atlanta who need senior financial leadership, not another dashboard. Local, in the building when it matters, and priced for a company that does not need a full-time CFO.
Why Atlanta, and why now
A metro full of owners
who built something worth selling.
Georgia is home to roughly 1.1 million small businesses, one of the largest concentrations in the country, and metro Atlanta carries much of that weight. A lot of it is the kind of company we work with: distribution, logistics, field services, waste and recycling, light manufacturing. Companies where margin is made in the operation and the financials struggle to keep up with it.
Many of those businesses are approaching a transition. Somewhere between 2.3 and 3 million American businesses are expected to change hands this decade, and only about half of owners have a succession plan. The gap is rarely ambition. It is that deal-ready financials take years to build, and most owners start the conversation about eighteen months too late.
That is the work. Reporting a buyer or a bank will trust, cash you can see thirteen weeks out, margin visibility by customer and by job, and an owner who is no longer the only person who understands the numbers. If a sale is three to five years out, this is exactly when the preparation pays.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Do you meet in person in Atlanta?
Yes. Local presence is part of why this works. We are on site for the sessions that need a room and real conversation, kickoff, the first close, board and lender meetings, and we run the rest of the cadence remotely so you are not paying for travel you did not need.
What size Atlanta businesses do you work with?
Owner-led and PE-backed companies roughly $5M to $100M in revenue. Below that, a strong controller and a good bookkeeper usually cover it. Above it, you are generally ready for a full-time CFO, and we will tell you so.
We are thinking about selling in a few years. When should we start?
Earlier than feels necessary. Cleaning up financials, documenting add-backs, and building a management team that runs without you takes three to five years to do properly. Owners who start eighteen months out end up negotiating from whatever the books happen to say.
Do you work outside metro Atlanta?
Yes. We serve clients across the United States and also keep a presence in Detroit. Atlanta is where a good share of our in-person work happens, but the engagement model does not require you to be down the road.
How is this different from hiring a controller?
A controller owns the integrity of the record, the close, the policies, the clean statements. A CFO turns that record into direction: cash, pricing, capital, and the decisions in front of you. Most companies that call us have good bookkeeping and no one translating it into moves.
Let's talk about your numbers.
No retainer lock-ins. No junior consultants. Just senior-level work.
